About

Why We’re Writing These Letters

We created Letters to My Children as a way to share the lessons we hope will guide our children — not just during childhood, but well into their adult lives. These letters are for the moments when life feels confusing, exciting, or even overwhelming. They’re our way of being there, even when we can’t be right beside them.

Along the way, we realised that other families, other young people, and even grown-ups might benefit from these reflections too. Because the things we’re writing about — like character, money, relationships, resilience, faith, and purpose — are timeless. They matter at 10 years old, and they still matter at 40.

We’ve homeschooled our children while travelling across multiple continents, learning about people, places, and cultures together along the way. These real-life experiences have shaped how we see the world — and how we teach our children to live in it.

These letters are our way of passing down those lessons: honest, thoughtful, and grounded in everything we’ve seen, questioned, and discovered as a family. We want our children — and others — to have these words to return to, again and again.

Whether you’re a parent, a child, or someone in between, we hope you’ll find something in these pages that helps you live more wisely and more kindly.

Let’s grow together — one letter at a time.
